ENG3U Othello Assignment

That makes them so nervous. All of the sudden the meeting is interrupted by the arrival of Brabantio, Othello, Iago and Roderigo. Brabantio announced that Othello has used drugs and magic to enchant his daughter and to marry her. The Duke asks Othello to make an explanation to all of this. Othello claims that he didn’t use any tricks to obtain the love from Desdemona but his charmness and fascinating experience, he also requests to bring Desdemona to the court thus every accusation against him will have an answer.The duke is persuaded by that and denied Brabantio’s accusation. Iago& Othello(http://web.uvic.ca/~mbest1/ISShakespeare/Oth/Oth.GIF) Iago meets Othello and to tell him that Brabantio is extremely unsatisfied the marriage between him and Desdemona, and he already called up his follower to search him. Othello sees a group of men approaching hem, and Iago thinks that’s Brabantio and his followers,  so he suggests Othello to leave. But Othello denied because he thinks his perfect is the best justify for himself. However,  the people who come is his lieutenant Cassio and officers from the Venetian court. They tell Othello that the state of Cyprus and council was calling him. When Othello leaves and going to court, Iago tells Cassio that Othello is already married.  At this instance, the Duke and his follower arrived. When the two groups of people are about to start the conflict, Othello asks them to stops and to let the court judge. personal reactions This scene is the first time Othello appeal, and he fully demonstrated his personality. Iago is an ancient of the moors under control of the general Othello. Rodrigo is a guy who falls in love with Desdemona however she has married with Othello. Iago is angry about he didn’t get the lieutenant though he bribed three great one of the city， thus he is planning to frame Othello. Rodrigo also has the evil intention to Othello because he has been fascinated to Desdemona for a long time. Overall, they decided to tell  Brabantio who is Desdemona’s father the truth which is Othello has married with his daughter. Of course,  Brabantio is so mad about his daughter married with a black person, because he thinks Othello used magic and drugs on his daughter. In the end, Brabantio calls up his followers and going to find Othello to ask a statement for his daughter. personal reaction
